MEP Csaba Sógor held a brief lecture about the European Union at the Estelnic local town days on the 1st of July.

MEP Csaba Sógor presented leaders from Remetea, Romania with DAHR’s Family Friendly Community award on the 2nd of June.  In order to halt the demographic decline discovered after the census of 2011, DAHR started the Cooperation for Hungarian Future movement in the field of family policy last December.  As part of this policy, on the 15th of May, twenty local authorities have been honored for their family friendly actions.

The issue of regional and minority language use in France was the main subject of the May 24th meeting of the European Parliament’s Minority Intergroup.

DAHR’s MEPs Csaba Sógor and Gyula Winkler addressed a joint letter to socialist and liberal group leaders Hannes Swoboda and Guy Verhofstadt.

DAHR’s MEP Csaba Sógor raised awareness about the situation of the Medical and Pharmaceutical University of Tîrgu Mureş at the May 9th debate of the European Parliament’s plenary session.

The Youth@Kolozsvár 2015 project - Cluj Napoca’s bid for the title of European Youth Capital, along with the initiative itself of  the European Youth Forum  was presented in the European Parliament on Wednesday, the 9th of May at a conference organized by DAHR’s two MEPs,  Csaba Sógor  and Gyula Winkler. The conference was attended by the two MEPs’ guests as well.

Csaba Sógor: ”Through the issue of Tibet, which is of interest to the entire world, we can also remind the world about the deficiencies in Europe in the field of minority protection.”

The European Parliament’s “Tibet” intergroup held its 90th meeting on the 24th of April. On this occasion, DAHR’s MEP Csaba Sógor, who is an active member of the intergroup, organized a commemoration of the 170th anniversary of the death of Sándor Kőrösi Csoma in order to promote the cultural heritage of the Hungarian community in Transylvania.

The European Parliament’s „Tibet” Intergroup will hold its 90th meeting next week, on the 24th of April. On this occasion, DAHR’s MEP Csaba Sógor will host an event promoting the cultural heritage of the Hungarian community in Romania and its outstanding member Sándor Kőrösi Csoma on the 170th anniversary of his death.
