NGO meeting in Timişoara

The NGO Days organized by the NGO Council in Timişoara started on the 23rd of November with a series of presentations under the title „Cross-border professional cooperation between churches and NGOs”. After the welcome speeches of reformed dean Csaba Fazas and NGO Council president Ildikó Erdei, DAHR’s MEP Csaba Sógor held a presentation at the first meeting of the three-day event.

Csaba Sógor’s visit in the villages of the Transylvanian Plain

In his effort to support DAHR’s candidates for the national parliamentary elections, MEP Csaba Sógor accompanied deputy-candidate Csilla Hegedüs and senator-candidate Zoltán Lőrinczi in the villages of Suatu and Chesãu. Together they visited several Hungarian families from the constituency district to encourage them to vote.

„In the last 20 years one of the main problems in Romania was the excessive centralisation. We have to create the possibility for more and more decisions to take place at regional and local level, because in the lives of communities central decision-making is ineffectual” – declared Csaba Sógor, DAHR’s member of the European Parliament at the event entitled The regionalisation of Romania – Why? organised by the NGO Academia de Advocacy on 23 November in Timişoara. The MEP took part at the event at the invitation of DAHR’s Timiş county office.

The poet Endre Ady was born 135 years ago

The 23rd edition of the Pilgrimage to Mecenţiu was organized on the 17th of November with the attendance of high-profile representatives of the Hungarian cultural spectre from all over the Carpathian Basin. Hunor Kelemen, the President of DAHR and MEP Csaba Sógor, who had previously taken part at the Ady contest in Tãşnad, both attended the event.

The second WEBcastle competition won by the „Pages of the Daniels from Tãlişoara”

The second edition of the online competition WEBcastle ended on 7 November. Its goal was to offer information on the state of Transylvanian castles, to introduce them in the touristic circuit and to strengthen the link between the public and the castles.
