An agricultural seminar was held on Thursday, the 8th of November at the Brussels seat of the European Parliament with the special support of DAHR’s MEP Csaba Sógor. At the MEP’s invitation the seminar was also attended by a group of students from Transylvania.

Under the title Together for Siclod, on the 27th of October MEP Csaba Sógor in cooperation with the Harghita County Resource Centre for Tradition and the Etid local council organized a conference at the local cultural centre.

Following the declaration of the Council of the European Union and the European Commission, MEPs debated under the title “Is Erasmus in danger?” the situation of the education programme during the EP’s plenary session in Strasbourg.

The Botorka International Folk Dance Festival was organized for the 16th time between 18 and 21 October in Bãlan, hosting over ten folk dance groups from Romania and abroad. On the last day of the festival an ecumenical sermon preceded the folk parade. MEP Csaba Sógor took part in the events of the last day.

Dobra from Satu Mare County was the venue for a double celebration on the 20th of October when the meeting of the descendants from the locality took place during the fifth edition of the Grape Harvest Festival. With his origins in the village, MEP Csaba Sógor is a regular guest of the village’s autumn event.

The Brussels based Centre for European Studies held its 4th International Visitors Programme at the European People’s Party’s Congress in Bucharest between 16 and 18 October. At the working breakfast held on Wednesday morning, participants debated the EU’s role in the World: is its leading role still intact or is there a realignment between international powers?

DAHR’s MEP Csaba Sógor was awarded the Calasanctius Training Program’s (CTP) Man of the Year prize at the fundraising dinner organized by the Calasanctius Scholarship Foundation and the Calasanctius Training Program.
