In his effort to support DAHR’s candidates for the national parliamentary elections, MEP Csaba Sógor accompanied deputy-candidate Csilla Hegedüs and senator-candidate Zoltán Lőrinczi in the villages of Suatu and Chesãu. Together they visited several Hungarian families from the constituency district to encourage them to vote.

„In the last 20 years one of the main problems in Romania was the excessive centralisation. We have to create the possibility for more and more decisions to take place at regional and local level, because in the lives of communities central decision-making is ineffectual” – declared Csaba Sógor, DAHR’s member of the European Parliament at the event entitled The regionalisation of Romania – Why? organised by the NGO Academia de Advocacy on 23 November in Timişoara. The MEP took part at the event at the invitation of DAHR’s Timiş county office.

The main subjects of the European Parliament’s latest plenary session were the issue of the European Union’s budget, the ways to manage the current complex crisis and the topic of social Europe.

During his visit to Satu Mare on 16 November Csaba Sógor, member of the European Parliament pledged his support for the local DAHR candidates for the national parliamentary elections.

With the motto „Successful Szeklerland” the Hungarian Youth Council of Romania (MIÉRT) and the Youth Council from Gheorgheni Region (GYTIT) organised their MIÉRT Szeklerland Youth Conference between 9 and11 November 2012 in Gheorgheni.
