Csaba Sógor spoke about the Roma issue in the European Parliament.

The two MEPs welcomed a group of Hungarian youth from Transylvania to the European Parliament between 27 and 29 of September. The group of 47 consisted of the winners of the Karrier Express contest from the EU Camp and of the webEU contest from the palyazatok.ro website.

MEP voted 382 for, 250 against and 23 abstentions on the report about the readmission agreement between the EU and Pakistan on September 21st at the plenary session of the European Parliament in Strasbourg.

Several documents regarding the social future of the EU were on debate in the first plenary sitting of the European Parliament in September.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama organized a grand ceremony in India between 1-4 September 2010 on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the establishment of the Tibetan government in exile.

Guests from all over the world will arrive to the event hosted by His Holiness the Dalai Lama on the fiftieth anniversary of the Tibetan democracy. The jubilee ceremony will take place in the Sera Jay monastery demolished by the Chinese in Tibet and rebuilt in India.

The Intergroup for Traditional Minorities, National Communities and Languages of the European Parliament held its monthly meeting at the plenary sitting of the EP on July 8. The agenda included the report of Rundfunk- Anstalt Südtirol (RAS) public radio and television agency for the autonomous Province of Bozen.

DAHR’s MEP Csaba Sógor (drew attention to) reminded about the rights and living conditions of national minorities in the West-Balkans in his remarks during one-minute speeches on the opening day of the plenary sitting of the European Parliament in Strasbourg, on July 5. In his opinion some third countries ensure more freedom for the language use of these communities that the member states.
