MEP Csaba Sógor was the guest of the fourth edition of the Harvest Festival in Dobra. On the 22nd of October, the village became the meeting point of locals and those who have left the village.

South-Tyrolean MEP Herbert Dorfmann was MEP Csaba Sógor’s guest at the last edition of the European Discussion Nights. As it is known, DAHR’s MEP Csaba Sógor started the European Discussion Nights one year ago in order to invite foreign MEPs to Transylvania.

Sógor: the result of the census will define our life in the next ten years

DAHR’s Census Caravan visited Mures County last week before the census in Romania. The Caravan reached Iernut and Ludus on the 21st of October. During public forums organized here DAHR’s MEP Csaba Sógor and DAHR’s Deputy Secretary General István Székely emphasized the importance of the upcoming census for ethnic Hungarians in Romania.

The youth of Háromszék prepares for active political involvement – MEP Csaba Sógor supports the HÁRIT initiative

The Hungarian Youth Council from Háromszék (HÁRIT) organized a conference at Arcus between the 14th and the 16th of October as part of their „100 young people into the local governments” program. As known, the youth organization from Covasna County announced a program that aims to strengthen representation of young people in local governments, through the support of one hundred young candidates at the local elections next year.

Social inclusion of endangered groups is a strategic interest

The CENTRUM project is a high profile, EU funded project present in three development regions of Romania and aims at promoting equality of chances for women, people with disabilities and the elderly. The current thematic conference of the project was held on the 30th of September in Cluj at the Lutheran Church’s diaconal hall.

Commemorating banished Calvinists

Ardud was the setting for a double celebration on the 25th of September when the 1545 synod was commemorated and the foundation stone of the Drágffy Gáspár Parish and Church History Center was laid down. MEP Csaba Sógor delivered a sermon at the event.

Career opportunities conference for the youth of Szeklerland

Career and youth, as well as Career opportunities in Szeklerland were the subjects of the conference held between the 9th and the 11th of September at the Jakab Antal Study House in Miercurea Ciuc. MEP Csaba Sógor presented the internship program of his office in the European Parliament at the event.

The statue of Mihály Cserei has been returned to its rightful place

The statue of Mihály Cserei is once again in the center of Racu. The memorial of the famous son of the village has been raised through donations. The statue of the renowned historian, a “kopjafa” wooden column made by sculptor Jenő Szervátiusz, restored last year, as well as the newly restored center park of Racu was inaugurated on the 9th of September.

More than two thousand people attended the sixth edition of the Csángó Cheese Hominy Festival held at the Csángó and Fatányéros guest houses in Valea Rece.

Europe, a spiritual community: stone walls and auras

Participants from all over tha Carpathian Basin arrived at the Net-camp held between the 31st of July and the 7th of August in Invoru Muresului. The program of the camp was centered on the theme Christian and Hungarian presence and solidarity in the Europe.
