Sógor: The result of the presidential elections creates opportunities for us

He feels that the principle that was evident in the spring EP elections has been confirmed again: our voice is as loud as our number is the elections. „If the members of our community would have felt that this election has a real stake – if there would have been parliamentary elections as well on Sunday – the turnout would have been better and we would have gotten a better result.”

The MEP from Transylvania also pointed out that the result justified the fact of presenting a candidate. „My work in Brussels has though me that we need to take advantage of all the opportunities to show ourselves, our strength and the will of our community.” Sógor Csaba concluded that the result presents us with a political opportunity to make the issues of the Hungarian minority in Romania relevant for the candidates in the second round of the presidential elections.
