Csaba Sógor: Beside the mourning of the past we must also work on building our future
On National Solidarity Day a commemoration was organized on the 7th June in Săcueni (Bihor county). At the event hosted by the local community Csaba Sógor RMDSZ MEP held a speech, in which he emphasized the importance of not just mourning the past, but also of working on building the future as well.
“On National Solidarity Day we might feel like at a funeral, where beside the mourning we may feel glad to see our relatives who are still living. For us, this day is an occasion in which we have to commemorate the past of our community, but we also have to consider our present and all the things we have to do for our future”, said the MEP.
The Transylvanian MEP also quoted Sándor Márai, as well as the letter of prophet Jeremiah to the people of Babylon when addressing issues like the importance of European cultural and Christian values, as well as the way for minorities to live safely within their countries.
