We need to show solidarity with the Hungarian community in Slovakia
The Parliament of Hungary gave home on the 11th of September 2009 to the 2009 plenary session of the Hungarian Representative’s Forum (HRF). Attending the meeting, Mr. Sógor Csaba, Member of the European Parliament (MEP) expressed his concern with the situation that arose from the coming into force of the Slovakian State language law and pointed out the need of clear political solidarity with the Hungarian community in Slovakia.
During the debate over the crucial national political documents regarding the cooperation of the Hungarian communities in Eastern Europe, Mr. Sógor Csaba stressed the need to mention the civil society and the different religious congregations as integral part of this cooperation. He also suggested that the Hungarian Public Administration Institute, along with its usual surveys about the tasks and development of Hungarian national policy, should also launch training programmes for the leaders ad representatives of the Hungarian communities outside the borders of Hungary.
