Analysts say

Sógor Csaba is the most active Hungarian MEP coming from outside the borders of Hungary.

Borsos Tamás and Bíró Nagy András, analysts at Policy Solutions in Hungary, examined for Hungarian MTV Today Morning show the performance of those Hungarian members of the European Parliament (MEP) who live outside the borders of Hungary and have been sent to the European Parliament (EP) by Romania and Slovakia. The analysts consider that Sógor Csaba is the most active of the five MEPs.

The Romanian and Slovakian press does not give the MEPs much attention mainly because they speak Hungarian in the EP. – The MEPs coming from abroad focus on the issues regarding the rights of national minorities. This gets more attention in the Hungarian press than in the press of their home countries. I must emphasize that four out the five MEPs have dealt with this issue in a consistent manner – sais Bíró.
