European funds to be available again from 2016
Leaders of local public administration and public officials had the opportunity to hear technical information about the European funds that will soon become available in Romania. The meeting held at Covasna County Council on the 15th of January 2015 was organised at the initiative of MEP Csaba Sógor, in partnership with the RegioConsult investment consulting company.
The meeting was opened by the president of the Covasna County Council, Sándor Tamás. In his opinion the event played a key role in making sure the mayors were prepared for the upcoming financial framework so that they could benefit from the opportunities it offers. “The beginning of the year is about planning ahead, and this meeting today seeks to do just that” – he said.
RMDSZ MEP Csaba Sógor pointed out: “In the coming six years even more funds will be available to us than in the previous financial framework. Some say that the need for the cohesion policy funds will be challenged in the coming years, so it is that much more important that we make good use of the ones available to us now, and develop our communities as best as we can” – said the MEP.
